Junior Support Technician

 

Think4 IT Solutions Ltd have been going since 2006 with year on year growth through IT Support and Managed Services. In 2014 we became a Managed Partner with Microsoft and from over 7k registered SMB Partners (2015), Think4 are in the top 150. Other accreditations are Veeam, VMware, Riverbed, Sophos, etc…

With over 100 support contracts, we are looking to expand our helpdesk team to enable us to grow further.

Our helpdesk team is responsible for supporting and maintaining all in-house, hosted and customer networks, infrastructures and software applications, as-well as resolving all support requests, whilst providing a high level of customer service when dealing with any customer query. Our environment is fast-paced and fluid providing services via e-mail, phone, remote access and on-site where necessary.

Primary Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues, across a wide range of systems including Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Document all support ticket work against the helpdesk system, and all internal documentation in the relevant libraries. (This will involve the creation of articles on common fixes to enable users to become more self-reliant).
  • Take responsibility for support issues, deploying short or long term fixes with the primary aim to be to restore service to the client as quickly as possible; escalating support issues to other support staff where necessary.
  • Configure and install new hardware equipment both in house and on premise for clients.
  • Diagnose and resolve networking issues for customers: both over the phone and on site.
  • Be a team player showing skills and the ability to managing changing priorities.
  • Exhibit an excellent level of verbal and written communication, dealing with technical and non-technical colleagues and clients.
  • Perform regular Server maintenance, in house software monitors client systems for issues, to be expected to deal with maintenance tasks accordingly with their criticality.
  • Readily investigating into new software and hardware technologies.
  • Show self-initiative and action work in the aid of maintaining client system stability.
  • Attend training courses as identified as appropriate for development.
  • Actively look to attain knowledge in cloud-based technologies to follow business trends.
  • Performing work not specifically stated which will be necessary from time to time, without altering the nature or level of responsibility.

Skills/Personal Requirements:

Education/Qualifications

  • Strong level of general education with GCSE grades A-C in both English and Mathematics
  • Any industry-recognised qualifications are desirable (MCDST, MCSA, ITIL, CompTIA, or equivalent)

Experience

  • Previous experience working in an IT support role
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Mac Operating Systems
  • Strong computer skills and computer literacy
  • Experience working with:
    • Windows Desktop Operating Systems (XP, Vista, Win7, Win8, Win10)
    • Windows Server Operating Systems (2003, 2008, 2011, 2012)
    • Infrastructure support and networking experience
    • Desirable: VMware or Microsoft Azure experience

  • Willing to work enthusiastically and flexibly
  • Self-driven and able to work without direct structure
  • Ability to priorities accordingly and work under pressure to meet SLA’s
  • Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner, face to face, over the phone and in writing
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills

Sales / Account Development Executive

One of the North West leading IT Support specialists is looking for an engaging and sales driven Sales, Account Development Executive person. This exciting opportunity will allow you to use your outgoing personality and drive to earn a realistic and achievable commission structure and be part of their thriving and growing business.

This is only achievable by supplying outstanding customer service experience through best products, best value and best services.

As a Sales, Account Development Executive person you will play an integral part of Think4’s success by contributing and meeting annual sales and profit targets. You will become a personality to your clients and deliver a friendly sales experience ensuring that your customers are satisfied with the services from Think4. Selling is an important aspect within this role therefore to succeed you must be prepared to be accountable for your results. Our portfolio of solutions will help you achieve this by offering a huge range from Microsoft, Veeam, Sophos, and many more.

Key Responsibilities as a Sales / Account Development Executive are:

  • Ability to cold call and bring on board new clients
  • Develop and grow accounts
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Good presentation skills with clarity of voice
  • Confidently approach and build rapport with your customers to identify their needs and advise the right solutions
  • Achieve personal sales target
  • Meet KPI’s to monitor and develop personal performance

Knowledge of and experience of solutions sales in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Online Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
  • IT Support Contact Sales
  • Basic Knowledge of Networks & IT Infrastructure
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Basic knowledge about line of business applications such as Office and Sage

To be considered for the role of Sales / Account Development Executive and be passionate about delivering excellent service, be a strong communicator and have the ability to build rapport quickly. In addition to this it is essential that you have an outgoing personality, are hardworking, driven and results orientated. Previous experience within a similar role is desirable but not essential.
