Trying to save a little money can be very costly as one business experienced recently and contacted us for assistance.
They decided they would move the server that was business critical themselves to save money. Unfortunately removing the server from the rack wasn’t as easy as they thought and they ended up dropping it [see image below]. The server was collected and bought to our workshop where we managed to rebuild it. Fortunately we were able to recover the data from the original disks on this occasion.
What should have been a quick move over the weekend turned into additional unexpected downtime for the business.
